Semicolon is a mental health assistant app that started as a mock-project as part of my bachelor degree and has recently turned into a passion project I decided to redesign in my free-time.
While the initial design already has a fairly modern feel that aligns with the mental health benchmark, it lacked in visual clarity. User flow was far too long for simple interactions especially in urgent cases related to needing help in the mental health context. Additionally the app's visual appeal needs "softening" to make users feel comforted and at ease as the app is supposed to be a safe space of gentle guidance.

A Welcoming Companion
Mental health struggles can be overwehlming even physically where those affected are unable to move or speak. To help users navigate the app in any situation I am introducing a companion to talk or text with, who will suggest different app features, alert emergency contacts or simply keep users company in times of need.
